What This Covers

Athletic surface work covers tennis courts, pickleball courts, running tracks and walking trails, as new construction and as rehabilitation of existing paved surfaces.

Whether a cracked or deteriorated court can be repaired depends on the condition of the pavement and the base underneath it. The surface is evaluated alongside the subgrade to establish whether repair, milling, full depth reclamation or more extensive reconstruction is the appropriate answer.

The distinction matters more on sports surfaces than on general pavement, because tolerances for flatness and drainage are tighter and a base problem shows up in play before it shows up as visible failure.
